What does your company do and what is the idea behind the business?

Healthven is a service that promotes a healthy lifestyle in Bosnia and Herzegovina. community with a special focus on business environments. Our goal is to encourage and facilitate the creation of healthy habits by delivering a package of selected healthy snacks to the desired address, but also to educate individuals about important topics such as health, nutrition, training, etc. The idea is to provide an innovative and simple solution in the world of hectic and unpredictable daily schedules as well as the lack of adequate food in certain locations.

How and when did you decide to start selling online (web shop)?

It was clear to us from the very beginning that online sales are the most optimal solution for placing our products on the market, especially due to the very nature of our business. The webshop facilitates the entire ordering process for both customers and us as a company.

What were the biggest challenges in realizing the same?

Thanks to good planning and quality customer support from the very beginning, we did not have any problems in the implementation of this project. We also owe a great deal of gratitude to the eCommerce Association in BiH, which made it easier for us to connect and implement our webshop.

What are you most proud of?

To get to know wonderful people who put effort into the digitization of our market and make it easier for small (but also large) companies to go through the transformation process easily and safely.

Online business is definitely the future of every business and my message to all those who are still in a dilemma about adopting it is that the sooner they take this step, the faster they will improve their business and increase their competitive advantage on the market.

What does your company do and what is the idea behind the business?

Our mission since the beginning of our business is to be the best at what we do. We strive for excellence and strive to be a part of everyday shopping choices. We are focused entirely on our users and offer interesting offers with discounts of 50% and even up to 90% every day!

How and when did you decide to start online sales (with your web shop)?

CityDeal has essentially been a group buying portal since its inception. The principle of group buying is precisely the best way to combine the benefits of special offers for end users and the necessary marketing campaigns for service providers. A web shop was necessary for the very idea of connecting service providers through a better and more favorable service and end users.

What were the biggest challenges in realizing the same?

The biggest challenge was certainly to create a quality site, a platform, which will primarily attract users with its appearance and functionality. Also, a big challenge was to create a new shopping habit for users who had never encountered the principle of group buying before CityDeal.

How did you solve/overcome them?

Our driving force has always been ambitious, educated and hardworking young people. The accelerated process of globalization, a quality proactive marketing strategy certainly contributed to our team solving problems faster.

Are there any things in the eCommerce business that went better than you expected. Things you were pleasantly surprised with.

The pace of growth itself was a positive surprise. Somehow eCommerce has had a sudden expansion on a global level. The reflection of the global expansion was the expansion at our local level. At one point we were all “online”. The need for physical locations was reduced, and we were all more accessible to a wider range of customers.

What are you most proud of?

First of all, we are proud of the prefix “first” in the sentence: “CityDeal is the first group shopping portal in Bosnia and Herzegovina.” We are proud of a young, hard-working team whose average age is around 25. Also, of the ideas that are born and implemented constantly, of the team’s proactivity and certainly of the long-term stability of the basic idea.

Every business idea that is born nowadays must have an online business idea. Quite simply, we live in a time where business does not exist if it does not exist online. With a creative idea, knowledge and effort, feel free to dare and realize your idea! 🙂

What does your company do and what is the idea behind the business?

Company R&S d.o.o. Sarajevo is one of the leading importers and distributors of: office supplies, promotional items and business gifts, office furniture, computer equipment, protective equipment and medical and cleaning products. Guided by the slogan “Makes work easier”, the concept of offering the market a service of fast, affordable and simple procurement of everything needed in the office has been fully realized. This enables the customer to practically purchase what he needs – everything in one place, and direct his remaining time and energy into activities related to his primary job. The customer can now, for the first time in BiH, come to just one place and equip the business premises with office furniture, IT and other equipment, and find a reliable partner for their regular needs for office and promotional material, business gifts for their partners, protective equipment and medical means, as well as means for cleaning objects.

How and when did you decide to start selling online (over your web shop)?

Our company has had one form of web shop since 2006. We had the first digital marketing activities aimed at promoting the web shop back in 2008.

What were the biggest challenges in realizing the same?

Historically, B2B companies have been slow to adopt eCommerce solutions. We can probably cite the complexity of linking with the ERP solution as a reason for this. It was very challenging to work on integration with ERP, but also to change the habits of customers who are used to ordering via email.

How did you solve/overcome them?

We formed a team of people from the company that works on improving the web shop. Together we eliminated many difficulties, found the right collaborators and better understood our customers.

What are you most proud of?

We already count traffic in the millions and we are extremely proud of that.

Some final message for all those who are thinking about starting an online business.

The right time to introduce or work on improving eCommerce is – yesterday. There are many challenges in the B2B world, but people’s awareness is waking up, old practices are slowly disappearing, we are adapting to global trends. I believe that many companies are confused when it comes to eCommerce, they are not even sure which digital marketing partner to choose, but it’s good to know that they don’t have to answer all the questions themselves. We need to exchange opinions, experiences, and of course, there is also an eCommerce association that can give us guidance and help us make the right choices.

TechnoShop.ba Success Story

What does your company do and what is the idea behind the business?

The company Stanić Trade (legal name for technoshop.ba) is a domestic company whose primary activity is the distribution of A brands of consumer electronics on the market of Bosnia and Herzegovina through 3 sales channels: distribution, retail and online shop. By the way, it is one of the eight members of the Stanić Group, and its primary goal is to bring world technological trends to our market.

How and when did you decide to start online sales (web shop)?

We launched the first web shop 10 years ago, and during the last decade, even two improvements were made to it. Following the needs of the market, analyzing the habits of online consumers and the reasons for abandoning online shopping at the end of 2021, we decided to take on the challenge of creating a completely new web shop and personalized CMS in order to improve communication and respond to market demands in the best possible way. The new web shop has integrated new tools and a number of additional benefits for our existing and new online customers, which we will soon present to the market.

What were the biggest challenges in realizing the same?

During the process itself, we encountered a lot of challenges, from the creation of the blueprint of the project itself, the selection of suppliers, to project management, communication with vendors and others, but our team made up of web sales, marketing and retail employees successfully overcame all the planned and unplanned challenges, and our acquired knowledge during the very realization of this project is invaluable.

How did you solve/overcome them?

One of the communication sayings is: “Listen 75%, talk 25% !”. We carefully listened to the needs of the market and end customers, followed trends and successfully solved challenges on a weekly basis at regular internal meetings with the development team and vendors. If we add the flexibility, effort and creativity invested by the entire team of ten people, success was inevitable!

Are there any things in the eCommerce business that have gone better than you expected? Things you were pleasantly surprised with?

There were a lot of positive surprises. On this occasion, we would single out only a few: the design of the shop itself, e-wallet, CRM and CMS created according to our wishes and according to the customer’s measurements, maximum automation of the process, and our Loyalty app, which we continue to work on after the launch of the new web shop.

What are you most proud of?

We can immodestly admit that we are the first company in Bosnia and Herzegovina that brought “new trends” when it comes to our market. Also to the fact that we completed the project from start to finish in-house, and the premium store concept that we stand for in our retail stores was also transferred to the new web shop.

A final message for all those who are thinking about starting an online business.

We live in a digital age, it’s not a question of whether or not you will start online sales. The question is when you will do it. With a little courage, a clear strategy, a dedicated team and choosing an external partner/developer, you will jump on the train that will take you to destinations you have not yet visited. Best of all, the journey never ends.
